I really enjoyed my visit on Father's Day. My friend and I walked in and Ashley was belting out a great song. I loved it! I brought Tally and we treated like family. I had one of their delicious cheese burgers. Wow juicy and hot cooked to perfection. I liked the crowd because everyone was Cheers kind of nice. We will see you soon
Typical roadhouse atmosphere. Plenty of TVs playing a variety of shows. The mother-in-law appreciated the channel with funny animals. Slow but friendly bartender/server, but she was there by herself other than the kitchen staff. Prices are pretty good. There are plenty of beer choices, but not many craft brews on tap. The ones they do have are good ones though. My companions were both happy with their BLTs and their bacon was crisp as requested. It's amazing how often that doesn't happen. My cheeseburger was pretty good. The tater tots and onion petals were typical frozen bar food. Three and a half stars, rounded up to keep the mother-in-law happy since this is one of her favorite places.
So my husband and I stopped in here a couple of weeks ago for lunch, before catching a movie at Randhurst. We've tried to stop in with every place this has been over the years. It was relatively empty and we sat at the bar. Bartender was very attentive and got us drinks right away. I got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich and the husband ordered the BBQ Burger. Foot was good, as described (with the exception of the reference to the pickles, because what they consider 'plenty of pickles' and what I consider 'plenty of pickles' were clearly not the same things). The only reason I really knocked a star here is that as soon as regulars started rolling in, the attention was totally on them with the conversation and such. Getting the bartender's attention wasn't terribly difficult, but it was like watching a show and not knowing the characters or the plot line, because the regulars were loud and very much present. I might go there again, but maybe not during the day.
Great local place. Good food with a kick ass Cole slaw. Fun friendly staff with a bunch of fun regulars at the bar. I am always pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Got a great chicken avocado sandwich recently and it was delicious.
